Filling in the Gaps...Teaching Young Readers to Draw Inferences Grades 1-3

We can teach students to read on the lines, but how do we teach them to read between the lines? In this session, Lori will demonstrate how to teach the three steps of drawing inferences during reading. You'll learn how to use words, pictures, riddles and even cartoons to help our youngest readers learn to make predictions, judgments and other forms of inference.
